I love any initiative that supports local business and encourages unity through community.

Moreton Money is a 3 year local economic growth initiative supported by the Moreton Bay Regional Council and backed by the many Chamber Of Commerce groups present in our region.

The following is a an article from our very own Moreton Bay Regional Council’s website about their Moreton Money initiative.

What is ‘Moreton Money’?

Team Moreton Bay are rallying locals to back local businesses with a new Moreton Money EFTPOS gift card program. Any money put on a Moreton Money gift card can be used to buy goods and services in participating businesses within the Moreton Bay Region.

The aim is to encourage local purchases, support local businesses and build a sense of community pride. Moreton Money EFTPOS cards will be valid for three years and can be used more than once, across multiple businesses. #BackALocal #MoretonMoney

How can your business get involved?

Small businesses who want to cash in on the program and accept Moreton Money gift cards can register their interest by completing the Moreton Money gift card business registration form and one of the program’s Chamber of Commerce partners will contact you to be onboarded.

We’re Members + Sponsors

We’re are also members of the Pine Rivers Chambers Of Commerce (PRCC). We recently redesigned their website through the Council’s recent grants program released earlier this year and love the helpful resource it fast becoming. We also sponsored the PRCC with a new logo design to help giving them their own, unique identity and a recognisable brand.

How We See This Benefiting our Region

Without mentioning ‘you know what’, it’s been an interesting few years. Particularly for local business including retail, hospitality and events industry. Activities as minor as getting your hair cut or catching up with mates for a meal became less and less of a priority… the economic trickle down effect of which will echo throughout our region for some time. So anything that can encourage locals to spend local again is a great thing.
